Horizon FD85 Makes Waves at Cannes Yachting Festival - Showcasing at Monaco Yacht Show

Horizon Yachts recently debuted one of its newest and most popular models, the FD85 fast displacement motoryacht, to eager visitors at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival from Sept 12th-17th. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the event hosted nearly 600 luxury yachts and visitors came from around the world see the latest motoryachts and superyachts offered on the market. Throughout the six-day show, the Horizon FD85 hull two – which has been tailored for European clients – made waves for her unique exterior styling, incredible interior volume, and innovative features.

“We were overwhelmed by the reactions of clients and colleagues from the industry,” said Rob Boogaard of Horizon Yacht Europe. “Every single person that viewed the FD85 was very surprised to see this amount of volume in an 85 foot yacht, and her perfect finish and the highest quality engineering convinced our visitors of her magnificence.”

Developed in collaboration between world-renowned yacht designer Cor D. Rover and Horizon’s in-house naval architecture team, the FD85 features superior cruising capabilities that complement living and entertaining spaces comparable to 100-foot-plus megayachts. Luxurious and spacious accommodations include on-Deck Master stateroom and four guest rooms on board; and the luxury continues outside with a voluminous aft deck, open flybridge with Jacuzzi, and bow sunpads. Below the water, the FD85 is just as impressive with her High Performance Piercing Bow (HPPB) which provides both performance and comfort while underway.
