A NEW HORIZON FD100 SOLD

The tri-deck FD100 is now in build for American owners 

A new tri-deck FD100 has been sold and is now in build for American owners. The five-stateroom yacht is the first Horizon build for the experienced owners, who specified an interior design that reflects traditional styling with coastal charm.

Designed by Cor D. Rover, the FD Series has pioneered the high-volume yacht trend, and, coupled with Horizon’s proprietary High Performance Piercing Bow and hull design, has experienced incredible growth and success since the first FD yacht was unveiled in late 2016. The FD100 immediately conveys the feeling of a much larger superyacht, and the accommodations and amenities throughout underscore this aesthetic.

Spanning the yacht’s 23’ 4” beam, the spacious aft deck gives the first hint at the incredible interior volume of the 101’ yacht. Here, a convivial seating and dining area includes both fixed and freestanding furniture, as well as a sliding Hi/Lo table that converts to suit the activity. A wet bar with a 55” television and refrigerator/freezer drawers is situated to starboard.

BCB Décor, a Florida-based design firm, is responsible for the interior aesthetic of warm bleached oak with touches of cream lacquer and ocean blues that creates a timeless appeal throughout. In the main salon, a large L-shaped sofa with a lounge chair and freestanding ottomans is positioned to port, with a dayhead and seating area to starboard. Set off by an overhead treatment and a custom chandelier, the dining area houses a ten-person dining table with a wine cooler, bottle storage and a wet bar with refrigerator/freezer/ice maker. High-end finishes throughout echo the contemporary and sophisticated lines of the yacht’s exterior.

Forward, the large galley has been specified with high-end appliances, multiple refrigerator/freezers, and a seating area with fold-down table. A stacked washer/dryer is conveniently positioned on the main deck foyer and the on-deck master stateroom forward features a king-size bed and a his-and-hers ensuite with a rain shower.

Four further staterooms are positioned on the lower deck, and include mirrored VIP en suites amidships, a twin to port and a VIP stateroom in the bow. Large crew quarters are situated aft of the engine room and comprise three cabins, including a Captain’s cabin, with a laundry area and crew mess. The beach club is furthest aft and offers additional bottle storage as well as another wet bar with refrigerator/freezer drawers.

The enclosed skylounge has been planned with three helm chairs, yet another wet bar with refrigerator/freezer drawers, a dayhead and 55” fold-down television to port and a large seating area with a storage ottoman to starboard. A large, full-equipped L-shaped bar with additional bottle storage and a fold-down 43” television comprises the starboard section of the boat deck while a Jacuzzi tub is situated aft. Yet more entertaining space is found on the foredeck, with a large sunpad, U-shaped seating with tables and another refrigerator and ice maker, all of which can be shaded by awnings. The tri-deck configuration sees another inviting lounging and relaxation area on the uppermost deck, with an L-shaped settee and table, sunpad, and bottle storage with refrigerator/freezer drawers.

Powered by twin CAT C32As of 1900hp each, the new FD100 will embody elegance on the water. She is currently anticipated to launch in the Spring of 2023.
