All Systems Go: New FD Series Builds Arriving Soon

The latest Horizon FDs are en route to Fort Lauderdale, Florida’s Port Everglades seaport.

Two new Horizon yachts - a tri-deck FD100 and an FD Skyline - have been safely loaded aboard a yacht cargo transport ship and are bound for the U.S. via the Panama Canal on a nearly 8,000nm trip.

The tri-deck FD100 is the second such model to be sold and built after the model concept was introduced at the 2021 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, and its layout has been specified to suit the owners’ lifestyle throughout. From stem to stern, the American clients worked closely with the Horizon Yacht USA team to implement a design vision that emphasizes multi-generational entertainment with family and friends. Throughout the five-stateroom yacht, numerous innovative customizations have been incorporated, from the focus on entertainment with an 85” tv in the skylounge to the customized tri-deck al fresco area, to the spacious beach club with bar and plentiful storage for myriad toys.

The new FD Skyline is the first Horizon build for these American clients who selected the spacious FD model for its high level of design and interior volume. The owners specified a four-stateroom layout to allow for the signature on-deck master suite with three large VIP cabins as well as a spacious laundry and storage room on the lower deck. Additional modifications include the incorporation of a wet bar in lieu of the standard staircase on the starboard side of the aft deck as well as a full bar, L-shaped seating and dining and large Jacuzzi tub on the boat deck aft of the enclosed skylounge.
At the end of their journey, the yachts will be met by the Horizon Yacht USA Commissioning Team and will begin a thorough inspection and re-commissioning, during which every onboard system will be reviewed and tested. A complete interior and exterior commissioning of each vessel will occur simultaneously. Once the process is complete and all systems are signed off, the yachts will then be officially delivered to their owners in a champagne christening ceremony hosted at the Horizon Yacht USA Hall of Fame Marina location in Fort Lauderdale.
