Horizon Sells Another Tri-Deck FD92

The fourth tri-deck FD92 has been contracted by a first-time Horizon owner

The tri-deck Horizon FD92 is quickly proving itself as one of the most popular models in the Cor D. Rover-designed Fast Displacement (FD) Series. The tri-deck design of the high-volume FD Series was born from an owner’s request to customize the popular FD87 Skyline model by extending the hull and adding a lightweight carbon fiber flybridge atop the yacht’s enclosed skylounge. Since the delivery of the first FD92 in the Fall of 2020, three subsequent tri-deck models have been sold, the fourth and latest scheduled for delivery in early 2022.

The latest FD92 build has been commissioned for an experienced American owner, who has built and owned a variety of yachts. He was drawn to the FD92’s tri-deck and beach club design and appreciated the yard’s willingness to customize to his vision. Sold in conjunction with broker Chris Collins of Ocean Independence, this newest tri-deck FD92 will feature a five-stateroom layout with a full-beam, on-deck master stateroom with a his-and-hers ensuite. Four additional staterooms and crew quarters for five are positioned on the lower deck. A fully equipped beach club with a bar and convertible settee/sunpad and Hi/Lo swim platform round out the amenities on this level.

The main deck is configured in the traditional layout, with a large aft deck highlighted by a Hi/Lo foldable coffee table leading into the main salon with a dayhead to starboard, a large dining area and galley area forward, and the master suite furthest forward. The owner selected dark walnut flooring with teak wood in satin finish for the main woods throughout to complement the Mid-Century Modern design planned for the interior. On the bridge deck, the enclosed wheelhouse and skylounge opens aft onto the boat deck that will feature a bar and six-person Jacuzzi. The foredeck is outfitted with additional seating and lounging while the uppermost deck will feature a helm and L-shaped seating area.
