Two New Horizon Yachts Will Be On Display On Pier G, May 20 – 23, 2021

The southern hemisphere’s premiere marine event returns to its full glory this month, with an exciting range of marine-related toys, from gadgets and gear to luxury superyachts on display. A new addition to the show – now celebrating its 32nd year – will be The Lagoon Lounge, offering visitors the ultimate VIP experience. Situated on Pier G, Horizon Yacht Australia will showcase two new Horizon builds – the FD87 and RP100.

Making her debut at the show is a brand new FD87 Skyline, a five-stateroom yacht with an on-deck master with his-and-hers ensuite. Designed and built as a custom Cor D. Rover Signature design, this FD87 not only sports the acclaimed FD Series’ striking profile, but a sophisticated interior. The Cor D. Rover interior features satin walnut as the main wood to maintain a classy, modern feel throughout, while a walnut sole perfectly complements the satin white oak accents and Carrara marble surfaces in the salon. A dayhead is positioned aft and a custom, convertible dining table with a stone top seats ten for formal dining on the main deck.

Four en suite guest staterooms are situated on the lower deck, and include mirrored queen-size VIPs amidships, a convertible twin to port and a fourth queen-size VIP in the bow. Furthest aft, the spacious beach garage offers a huge storage cupboard and a massive fridge-freezer storage for long haul cruising.

This build features an enclosed skylounge with a newly designed micro bridge, so as to accommodate a larger exterior boat deck with an indoor/outdoor entertaining area and tender storage aft. The lightweight hardtop doubles as a touch-and-go helipad and includes a hydraulic telescopic radar arch. The al fresco space is protected by sliding glass enclosures to either side and is fitted with a U-shaped dinette, a large bar area with stools and a BBQ grill. On the foredeck, a large U-shaped settee faces a heated jacuzzi and the large sunpads. This area can also be shaded with awnings and offers refrigeration for added convenience.

The latest FD87 Skyline is powered by twin CAT C32A diesels of 1,600hp each and fitted with ZeroSpeed stabilization.

Horizon’s Raised Pilothouse (RP) Series is one of the builder’s most popular series in Australia. The latest RP, the RP100, springs from the RP97 platform with styling by J.C. Espinosa and has been specified for the Australian market.

Sleek in her styling, with an open flybridge and elegantly stepped decks cascading to the bow, the tri-deck RP100 features a spacious four-stateroom layout. Customized for the Australian market and conforming to AZ/NZS electric standards, the RP100 offers a traditional superyacht configuration, with a spacious main salon opening from the aft deck and leading into the formal dining area with a grand country-kitchen-style galley forward. The raised pilothouse is accompanied by a large built-in settee, while the open flybridge offers U-shaped seating and a dinette, a wet bar and grill, and davit for launching the tender.

The four staterooms are positioned on the lower deck, with the full-beam master amidships, a VIP in the bow and two twin cabins to port and starboard. Quarters for up to three crew are situated aft.

A rich Wenge wood in a satin finish highlights the interior of the RP100, which is further highlighted by a built-in bar and entertainment cabinet extending along the starboard side in the main salon. A low-slung sofa and comfortable furnishings add to the atmosphere of casual elegance, where the large windows enjoy prominence, and a fold-down television is concealed in the overhead when not in use.

Powered by twin CAT C32 ACERT engines of 1,600hp each, the RP100 achieves a maximum speed of 21 knots at half load and offers a cruising range of 1,300nm at a 10-knot cruise.
