A New Horizon FD87 Skyline Sold

Equipped with a beach club and five staterooms, the latest FD87 will deliver to her Australian owners in late 2021.

Another FD87 has sold, this time to Australian owners who previously owned a Horizon E88. Specified for the Australian market, the latest FD87 features a Skyline configuration and a five-stateroom layout including an on-deck master. Image 4448:

At an overall length of 90’ with a 23’ 3” beam, a stable High-Performance Piercing bow and hull design and tremendous interior volume, the highly successful FD87 Skyline ticks all of the boxes for owners seeking that perfect combination of space, performance and entertainment capabilities. This is the 24th hull built from this mold since the Fast Displacement (FD) Series was introduced in late 2016 – a testament to the popularity of the Cor D. Rover-designed Series.Image 4451:

The spacious aft deck is designed to accommodate a four-settee seating area with a wet bar to starboard. Within the bright and airy main salon, full-height windows set off the seating area with a large L-shaped sofa positioned to port. A dayhead and entertainment center with storage is positioned to starboard. The dining area houses a table for ten and the large galley is fully equipped with plentiful storage. A signature feature of the Series, the full-beam master stateroom occupies the forwardmost area of the deck. Image 4450:

Four large mirror VIP ensuite staterooms occupy the lower deck, while crew quarters and a beach club with a kitchenette are positioned aft of the engine room that houses the twin Caterpillar C18A engines. Image 4449:

Entertaining and lounging are prioritized throughout the deck areas, and this model’s foredeck area features built-in seating as well as a large sunpad. The enclosed wheelhouse is protected from the elements and easily separated from the guest areas for privacy and offers a dayhead for added convenience.

The semi-enclosed skylounge area features a large seating area opposed by a wet bar and fold-down television. Opening windows let the breeze into this area. A jacuzzi with a bar counter and three stools is positioned to starboard on the boat deck, while the tender is comfortably stowed aft.

Currently under construction, the new FD87 is estimated to launch in the Winter of 2021. After delivery, the owners plan to enjoy cruising, fishing, snorkeling and watersports in the Whitsunday islands.
