While Horizon Yachts offers its clients a diverse range of motoryacht series designed to suit every lifestyle, the ability for each owner to customize a yacht – from amenities to layout to overall build – remains a company principle.

This willingness to embrace the investment in design and engineering that accompanies requests for customized builds led to the recent sale of yet another FD Series hull to an experienced owner, who was represented by Jim McConville of Allied Marine. The news is exciting enough for being the 19th Fast Displacement Series yacht sold in the three-year timeframe since the FD Series was unveiled, but what really sets this build apart is its customization: based on the FD87 model, this 92-footer will feature a unique tri-deck superstructure perched atop an extended hullform.

Showcasing the striking profile, interior volume and High Performance Piercing Bow and hullform that characterize the Cor D. Rover-designed FD Series, the new FD will accommodate guests in a full-beam on-deck master stateroom equipped with his-and-hers heads and four additional lower-deck staterooms. Crew quarters for three are situated aft of the engine room, just forward of the fully equipped beach club.

The tri-deck design – the first ever for the FD Series – allows for a helm, L-shaped seating, a sunpad and small bar equipped with a fridge and icemaker to be positioned on the uppermost deck, which can be shaded with a bimini top. Another inviting exterior area has been designed for the foredeck, which will feature a six-person Jacuzzi, seating area, sunpads and fridge/icemaker. Aft of the enclosed skylounge, which houses the helm station, lounge seating and a day head, the boat deck will be fitted with a bar and stools while the tender is comfortably stowed furthest aft while underway.

Intended for entertaining, the aft deck has been designed to accommodate formal dining for ten, a wet bar on the starboard side, and a large aft-facing bar with bar stools so guests can enjoy the on-the-water-action. The superstructure design led to a proportionate hull extension, giving this yacht an LOA of 92’ and augmenting the already spacious beach club and Hi/Lo swim platform and watersports area. Built with a 2,500lb capacity, the platform itself boasts yet another ingenious amenity – a “transformer” section that rises and lowers to facilitate water access with ease.

This newest FD Series yacht is currently under construction and is estimated to deliver to her American owner in August of 2020. For more information on this build or to define your own Horizon, please contact Horizon Yacht USA at 561-721-4850 or [email protected]
