The FD77 Arrives in Palm Beach for Her Global Debut

The anticipation has been mounting and now, with less than one week until the opening day of the Palm Beach International Boat Show, the brand new Horizon FD77 has arrived in the United States and is preparing for her world debut.

This first hull is the latest model of the wildly successful, Cor D. Rover-designed Fast Displacement Series and has been specified for the American market. At an overall length of 80 feet, the FD77 is intended to comfortably accommodate owner operation and offers unparalleled style, volume and amenities for her size. Not only does the FD77 feature the same striking profile to her FD Series sisters, she offers a spacious aft deck, forward lounge area and, most impressive for an 80-footer, a fully equipped beach club.

Inspired by a beachside retreat, the interior of the FD77 contrasts light natural Carrera marble and Cambria with satin Light American Oaks and Walnut in a high gloss finish. A mélange of materials add texture and interest to the wall coverings and soft goods. Innovative design touches are found throughout the new FD77, from the galley island/breakfast bar and floating staircase in the open main salon to the wood-slatted feature wall on the lower deck.

The first FD77 features an Open Bridge design with a fixed front windshield and offers the same impressive performance and stability as her Series sisters atop Horizon’s proprietary High Performance Piercing Bow and hull design. As with every FD Series model, the FD77 can be specified to an owner’s preference and is offered in Open Bridge or Skyline layout.

Judging by the attention already given the first hull – with hull 2 planned for delivery to Australia and hull 3 reserved for the American market – the new FD77 will set the next benchmark for yachts of this size range.
