The deal for a custom new-build FD90 was signed during the Sydney International Boat Show.
A deal for a custom new-build Horizon FD90 motor yacht has been signed during the 2023 Sydney International Boat Show. Commissioned for a repeat owner, the new FD90 will feature a five-stateroom layout with an aft-galley configuration and numerous customizations.
Positioned in the middle of the Cor D. Rover-designed Fast Displacement Series of motor yachts, the FD90 is the most popular model in the range, thanks in part to its “just-right” balance of interior volume and exterior deck space. The Australian market has particularly responded to the design, which allows for an on-deck master stateroom with four large ensuite staterooms on the lower deck, and an enviable main deck with a large aft deck and well equipped galley, salon and formal dining area. The upper deck can be configured in an open, enclosed or split-use skylounge layout.
This is the second Horizon yacht for the experienced boater, who specified several customizations including a helipad to accommodate a Robinson R44. This FD90 will feature an owner-specified infrared sauna in the master suite and a heated Jacuzzi on the boat deck, just aft of the split-use skylounge with a fully equipped, u-shaped bar. This FD90 offers crew quarters for four and will be powered by twin CAT C32B ACERT engines of 2,000hp each.
