Another Highly Anticipated Debut at Palm Beach with the Horizon FD87 Skyline

Something new is always on the horizon for Horizon Yachts, and with the Palm Beach International Boat Show around the corner the yacht builder is making no exceptions. The brand new FD87 Skyline will make its U.S. debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 22 – 25, 2018 in a showcase that includes Horizon’s RP110, PC74, PC60 and PC52 motoryachts.

Featuring a design inspired by her owner’s lifestyle request, the FD87 Skyline motoryacht is a brand new addition to the Cor D. Rover-designed Fast Displacement series. Springing from the eye-catching FD85, which debuted at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the FD87 Skyline boasts a cool blue hull and contrasting white superstructure. In place of the raised pilothouse found on the FD85, the owner of the FD87 requested a fully enclosed bridge with a helm station to provide additional indoor entertaining options and allow for an extended boating season in colder climates.

The FD87 Skyline retains many of her predecessor’s unique features, including an expansive 23’ 3” beam, large on-deck Master with four further guest staterooms and two crew cabins on the lower deck. A seating area on the bow is accessed via Portuguese walkway while a spacious beach club and hydraulic swim platform invite interaction with the sea. The FD87 Skyline features Horizon’s new High Performance Piercing Bow (HPPB) hull design and has been equipped with stabilizers for maximum performance and comfort.

Following great success at its appearance at the recent Miami Yacht Show, the new RP110 superyacht will also appear at Palm Beach. The RP110 features a stylish exterior design from J.C. Espinosa atop a double chine, high-performance hull that was developed in collaboration between Donald L. Blount & Associates and Horizon’s in-house naval architecture team. The RP110 offers a spacious, functional and flexible five-stateroom layout within its 25’ beam. The Master stateroom is situated on deck along with the main salon, formal dining area, and portside galley, while two mirrored queen-size VIP staterooms and two twin guest staterooms reside on the lower deck. The RP110 echoes the entertaining and lounging options of the larger RP120, while also featuring a tender garage that doubles as a beach club and includes a day head and storage.

The Horizon FD85 is an exemplary example of the model's design concept: to take advantage of the voluminous 23'3” beam and provide areas, both indoors and out, for entertaining, relaxing and taking in the view. Her main salon incorporates large areas of floor-to-ceiling glass windows, which create a feeling of being at one with nature. She provides a five en suite stateroom layout – the Master on deck with four guest staterooms below – and separate crew quarters forward of the engines. The interior is modern yet comfortable, mixing elegant Wenge and Sycamore woods with neutral soft goods, lacquers, and stone. Her spacious aft deck and open flybridge invite quality time spent with family and friends enjoying the FD85's yachting lifestyle. Designed to be the flagship of Horizon’s PC Series, the brand new Horizon PC74 model recently debuted at the Miami Yacht Show. This model builds on the successful elements of Horizon’s PC52 and PC60 powercats in a design meant to appeal to both first-time owners and experienced catamaran clients. Exterior and interior styling is from the boards of J.C. Espinosa, and the PC74’s voluminous 28’ 4” beam provides for a comfortable salon as well as an on-deck king-sized Master stateroom, situated forward of the salon; three further guest staterooms as well as the crew quarters are situated on the lower deck. Exterior entertaining and lounging areas are plentiful, from the multi-functional open flybridge to the wonderfully spacious forward deck with sunpads and aft deck area. A hi/lo swim platform is wide enough to accommodate a jet ski and features storage space below for up to 12 dive tanks. The PC74 is equipped with economical CAT 1136HP engines and boasts an impressive 930nm range at an 11-knot cruise.

Owners with visions of Bahamian getaways will appreciate the next two yachts in the Horizon lineup: the PC60 and PC52. A multiple award-winning vessel, the Horizon PC60 has long been the preferred choice for blue water cruisers. On display will be an open flybridge version named “Sundance”, which features a helm station, wraparound settee and wet bar on the flybridge. This version continues the model’s signature single-level living design, which flows from an expansive aft deck into the salon with galley and formal dining forward. Three staterooms are situated below in the hulls, a queen size master en suite with dual basins to starboard and twin and queen en suites to port.

Designed for easy owner operation, Horizon’s popular PC52 power catamaran is the ideal ocean-going, family cruising yacht. With the entire starboard hull dedicated to the owners, the three-cabin layout sleeps six in comfort. Powered by Cummins 550HP motors, the PC52 cruises at 17 knots with a top end of 21 knots.
